Tips for a Successful Journey with Carousel Buses
- Do find out in advance where the correct bus stop is, and arrive five minutes before the bus is due to depart. That will save you worrying about whether you've missed it or not!
- Always signal your wish for the driver to stop when standing at bus stops. If your signal is not made in advance the bus may pass you by, even though the driver may have seen your signal at the last minute. Sudden stops are often impractical and potentially dangerous.
- Always try to have your bus pass and/or the correct fare ready. This will speed up the loading process and on those cold winter mornings, it will keep the bus warmer.
- Press the bell well in advance of the stop that you need to get off at. If you ring too late the driver may have no option but to drop you at the next scheduled bus stop.
- Never request that a driver drops you off at a road junction, traffic lights or a roundabout. This is illegal!
- Your driver should always be smart, courteous and helpful throughout your journey. If he/she isn't, we need to know. A driver who greets his/her passenger in the manner that he/she wishes to be greeted, has proven he/she has gone some way to showing his/her passengers that he/she is a true professional and an ambassador for Carousel Buses.
